Tupi, South Cotabato

Sadly, this is my last entry for my GenSan posts =/ huhuhu

It takes about 45 mins to get here by bus from GenSan.
You could buy a variety of fruits at a cheaper cost in this town.
But our agenda for that day wasn't to buy fruits..

it was to see the pineapple plantation!

We originally planned to visit the Dole plantation in Polomolok.
But reservation is required to do so and we didn't have the time to do that anymore.

well there's no difference I guess..same land with a looooot of pineapples!

#instagrammable

babies <3

We also visited a farm of bell peppers!

it doesn't get anymore "provincial" than this hehe

why hello there!

Lake Sebu

One popular site to go to when in Gen San is Lake Sebu.
From GenSan, take a bus to Marvel then transfer to a shuttle van going to Lake Sebu and finally rent a motorbike/habal-habal to the falls.
It takes about 3-4 hours to get there.

Entrance fee is just P20

the 7 falls of Lake Sebu
-you can easily see all 7 falls when you zipline ;)

Falls # 1

wearing traditional t'boli clothes

you can just take a photo-op if you're scared to do the real zipline ;)

another fun activity you can do is the zorb ball!

falls # 2

close-up

when you get to the restaurant, be sure to order some of their tilapia dishes <3

#yuminmytum

it's a feast <3

we got the chicharon style tilapia, chopsuey

and tilapia "lagpang" style
everything was delish!

unfortunately, it started to rain a few mins while we were eating :(

fog suddenly appeared that I didn't opt to do the zipline anymore huhu #NoView

the water turned to a chocolate color too lol
so sad, hopefully i can go back and try out the zipline!

We then headed to the "lake" where most fishermen harvest their tilapia

ready to be grilled/cooked! haha

beautiful!

Gumasa Beach, Glan

A side trip you can do while in Gen San is to go to Gumasa Beach in Glan, Sarangani.
It takes about 45mins to get here from GenSan :)

Fun fact: It is dubbed as the "Little Boracay of South Mindanao"

This is really packed during the summer but completely empty on a regular Tuesday morning of November haha

the perfect backdrop :)

all to ourselves!

GenSan eats

As I've mentioned in my previous post, Saranggani Highlands is a must if you're looking for a beautiful place to have your lunch.

our delectable dishes <3

mango P75 , guyabano P80 and durian P95 shake

Crispy Tuna Bihod (Caviar) P220
-This was my favorite. Tuna Eggs deep fried into this rich crispy goodness!
Perfect for pulutan too hehe

Sarangani Seafood Express P295
-If you're tired of the usual Bicol express, try this seafood version that's equally enticing!

Tuna Sisig P250
-I love all kinds of sisig but unfortunately, this one was too spicy that all I can taste was the heat of the peppers =/

Watsay (Black Fern) Soup P280
-It's my first time to try Watsay. Taste was good, very similar to bird's nest ;)

Tuna Kinilaw
-sorry forgot to take note of the price.
It had mangoes, cucumber, singkamas and the usual onions and pepper ~yum!

Next stop is Arpochi.
It's quite famous for serving the best crabs in town!

Sweet and Spicy Crabs
-OMG, it really is the best crabs ever! I've never eaten crabs that are packed with such flavor like this. Also, the size of it really equates to its meat inside. It's not deceiving like other crabs that are huge but contains very little meat once opened lol
Sauce was perfect too! delish!

Native Chicken Ilonggo Style Adobo
-easily one of the best adobo's I've tried too! huhuhu
Ilonggo style doesn't have any sauce but still fingerlickin' good!

Squid Steak
-so there's bistek tagalog, but imagine it in squid?!
That's exactly the taste of this dish and I can't even contain how magical it was haha

Didn't take note of the price of each dish but total amounted to P2430 :)
Arpochi, highly recommended!

Want something new aside from Starbucks? Try out Blugre Cafe.

tempting cakes and pastries!

Durian coffee and frap

Choco torte cake with cream sauce <3

A must-eat in Gensan is their specialty dish called Balbacua.
You could get the best balbacua in Aweng's.

Balbacua and Bulalo
Basically it tastes like Bulalo. Our server said it just differs on the beef parts that they put in each ;)

Very affordable our meal cost P76 in total including drinks ;)
