Ah Hongkong, what can I say? It's one of my fave cities in the whole wide world lol.
Aside from sentimental reasons (this is the first place I've ever been to abroad when I was seven), I've always been in awe with how fast-paced and modern it is.
And the fact that it doesn't take a long ride from the Ph is so convenient!
We stayed at Mini Hotel in Central, which is in a really good location since it's just a few steps from all the entertainment and shopping areas in Central district.
I really adore their lobby. It's so chic and stylish.
Just look at those chairs!
You could see a bit of the piano in this pic and they even have a long wooden table which is very useful because......
...it's a bit difficult to eat inside coz as the name suggests, their rooms are "mini" sized too lol
So yea this was it..in a nutshell, literally and figuratively =P
Our 1st meal was at my fave HK resto, Cafe de Coral.
This is so popular, you could practically see it everywhere like Jollibee levels haha
Here's a bit of their menu.
They serve several kinds of dishes but I always order their roast duck/chicken meal ;)
So yummy!
If not for the calories, I'd eat this everyday.
Lucky for us, we went there a week before all the central demonstration/protests happened.
Double-decked bus and tram.
Aside from these, their subway is also very efficient in going around the city.
Tip: Once you arrive at the airport, go to the information and get their Airport Express Tourist Octopus card. It allows you to have unlimited access to the MTR and a roundtrip journey to/from the airport.
You're welcome!
a piece of Central district.
Lots of stores both high-end and low-end.
Another fave place of mine is Causeway Bay.
Not the best pic of this area :( I had a fever that day and couldn't walk for a long time =,(
Anyway, it gets really crowded and crazy here but I love it nonetheless.
Times Square HK
We had the privilege to have dinner at the Royal Hongkong Yacht Club which was exclusive for its members (sosyal!)
It has the best view of the city!
During our stay, the typhoon came so we didn't have the chance to go to the places we originally planned to go to.
But anyway, we didn't really want to do so much touristy stuff so we went mall-hopping instead.
Yummy lunch!
I really searched for the location of Godiva branches so I could try their soft serve!haha
at the Avenue of Stars
It was a sad, gloomy day with a bit of rain huhuhu
So a few pictures back, you could see us eating with another man.
Well, he owns this ramen resto! hihi
Aside from Ippudo or Butao, Yokozuna is also a famous ramen shop here in HK.
A lot of people always line up to eat here. In our case, we waited for about 45 mins before we were seated.
They serve noodles, rice meals and side dishes like gyoza and miso soup.
The place is really small so it gets cramped during peak hours
Our mighty bowls of ramen. #NOM
We also had the chance to visit Ozone bar located in Ritz Carlton which FYI, is the highest bar in the world! wuhoo!
Unfortunately, I had a sore throat that night so I ordered tea boohoo.
I just forced my bf to get the champagne mojito coz it looked so pretty haha
This is how the entrance/hallway to the bar looks like
Victoria Peak is also a MUST when in HK.
price range
the famous tram haha
#selfwe
view from the peak
it was a bit cloudy since it just rained that day but i guess that was better rather than enduring a hot sunny weather heehee
Trivia: that building with the orange/red thingy is Jacky Chan's house =D
*someone* had too much fun taking pictures here LOL
goin down
My staple HK meal: turnip pancake, congee and honey lemon tea!
