The Goose Station

If you're looking for a place to have a one of a kind gastronomical experience, I highly recommend you go to The Goose Station @ BGC.

TGS, is known for its degustation menu.
Degustation FYI, is basically sampling small portions of all the chef's signature dishes in one sitting (got that from Wiki haha)

You know those movie scenes where the actors eat in a posh resto and the serving is teenie weenie and you'd be like WTF, that is so expensive but you can eat it in two spoon fulls??!! LOL
Yea, that's prolly from a desgustation menu.

But don't worry, degustation usually features 6 or more courses so having mini bits of each meal is quite filling already :)

Our menu for our FriDate <3
We actually got a Deal Grocer voucher for this (!) ~so worth it!

Voucher Price: P1625 valued at P2600 via Deal Grocer

First stop: our complimentary bread
The server offered us several kinds of bread and I took these two.
The longer one was a bit hard =/
I wish there was mushroom soup where I could've dipped it hihi =P

And now, let the "the-goose-station" begin! get it?hehe
I just realized that's prolly the reason why they named their resto like that ~quite clever!

Caviar Parfait
-just look at the presentation. it's so photogenic!! <3
Anyway, our server was so funny. After explaining this dish, he warned us that the pebbles underneath are inedible LOL i guess there were past customers who attempted to eat that as well nyahahaha

You would absolutely adore this dish if you're a seafood lover.
It tasted a lot like a colder version of Chawanmushi.

up-close and personal

Eggs Benedict
-Eggs Ben in a glass?! wow this is really unique, noh?

The wafer really complemented the egg concoction.
I wish they gave 2 pieces more though hihi =/

Just a warning, if you're more of a fully-cooked-egg person then you might dislike this dish as it gets too gooey once you've popped the poached egg.

Beet Salad
Now this was the highlight for me.
I really like the execution of this dish. Each element had its own exquisite taste and everything just blended well altogether. LOVE!

close-up of the magical salad served on a board

Risoni Negra
the risoni had a bit strong flavor for me
~but if you like adobong pusit then i guess you'd appreciate this

mmm just look at that tasty scallop <3

Wagyu
mmm each slice was tender juicy perfection
plus I really love the richness of the mashed potato too

I was about 70% full when this pic was taken

Choco Banana Peanut
what can I say? it's one of the best desserts I've ever tasted in this lifetime and I can die happily now! LOL

A heavenly dish for chocoholics like moi <3

Happy couple <3

drama mode nyahaha

FOOD
Each dish was excellent and has exceeded my expectation.
Most especially the Beet Salad!!! I'm still on a high just thinkin bout how delectable that was (!)

SERVICE
Top notch service.
You get what you pay for.
The waiter who served us, clearly knows each dish ~well done!

THE MAIN QUESTION
Will I go back?
Abso-Fckin-lutely!
Every dish was worth every penny <3
Though, I might need to wait for another voucher for this hehe

Legazpi Sunday Market

Since Soderno closed 2 years ago, I've been meaning to visit other weekend food markets around Manila.

If you've been living under a rock, the popular ones would be: Mercato Centrale at BGC, Banchetto in Ortigas, Salcedo every Saturdays and Legazpi Sunday Market, both in Makati.
I have yet to try Banchetto though! *sigh, so far :(

So one fine Sunday,  finally decided to go to Legazpi Market. YAY
It opens at 7am - 2pm.
I suggest you go early as the parking gets full easily and a bit hassle to wait.
Good thing, there are lots of spaces at the side streets --not to mention, it's free too hehe

The first thing that greeted me was this stall that serves raw vegan meals.
Hmm, I might try this next time I visit!

Don Churro, for your quick fix of churros con chocolate
Price range are from P50-150

Assorted pasta
I'm sure these tasted great while still hot --another reason why it's better to go early(!)

Indian food

for the cholesterol lovers!
they had puto bumbong and bibinka too <3

First thing we ate was Takoyaki.
5 pcs for P60

Unfortunately, no "tako" inside only cabbage haha

This was one of my faves.
Their fresh lumpia was the bomb!
Wanna try the kuapao next time <3

Fresh lumpia P60

Anyone want some Monster burger?!

or some Wagyu Shawarma?? nom nom nom

Love the drinks they serve!
I highly recommend the Ashitaba Iced tea and Dalandan juice!
P30 each

These were so cute.
I love cupcakes in general (isn't it obvious with my nick?lol) and muffins are no exception.
Wanna try the Dark Side (dark choco muffin)

Fat Fingers for macarons!
They have interesting flavors like Oatmeal Cookie, Smores and Buttered Popcorn! yumz!
P45 per piece

Why hello there Picole!
They have a wide range of ice pops from soy-infused, choco dipped and my personal fave, Milky pops.

Our eats!

Blue Cheese Burger: P250
organic beef patty with blue cheese, lettuce, tomatoes + mayo mustard

Chicken Inasal: P100
Tasted like the authentic one! So juicy too.
This was beside the Thai food stall and monster burger :)

Waffos' Campfire: P80
Serving was really big. This was worth the try.

I used to buy caramel apples from a stall in Glorietta but it closed too soon =,(
So glad that Bad Apple decided to sell these yummy treats!

 Chocolate Pretzel: P160
sooooo yummy <3
The apple pie flavor was delish as well!

If you're thinking about the seating capacity, Legazpi market has enough chairs and tables for everyone so don't worry.
But again, it's still better to go early to be sure!

what's a market without organic produce?!

fresh fruits and veggies

they also had children's wear

some unique decors

I WANT these!!!
(I collect shells btw)

Now this bird house is a masterpiece! <3
