Moalboal, Cebu Sept 2015

Aside from the beaches in Mactan, you could also opt to visit Moalboal
which is in the Southern part of Cebu.

There are 2 main beaches in Moalboal.
One is Panagsama which is the area popular for diving and snorkeling (aka sardine run!)
We stayed in Basdaku which is more known for its white sand.

How to Get Here:
1. Take a bus from South Bus Terminal going to Moalboal, Oslob or Bato (3-4 hrs)
Fare is P160; one way
*Another alternative is the V hire van in One Citilink Terminal -though I haven't tried that yet.
Drop off will be at the public market or just tell the conductor to drop you at the stop close to the beach.

2. From the stop, ride a habal-habal or tricycle to your desired beach (about 20 mins)
We took the tricycle since we had some bags with us.
Fare was P100 each; one way

Originally, we planned to just stay here for a day so we rented a cottage for P300.
But we had a lot of fun snorkelling/island hopping that we took so much time and decided to stay overnight lol
*Got a room for P1000
~sorry, wasn't able to take note of the resort's name. It was just a contact of our tricycle driver.

A whole bucket of fresh uni/sea urchin for P150!!! O_O
My Japanese bf went crazy lol

After lunch we then started our island hopping (P2000).
First stop: Pescador Island!

True enough, it was a sight to see!
So many fish swam right up to us as soon as we went down the water.

It's as if they knew we had some bread to feed them lol

The only thing I didn't like was it was so easy to step on the corals coz the snorkeling area was shallow.
Both my boyfriend and I got some battle wounds here =/ so be careful!

Anyway it was worth it since I get to bond with my fishy friends :)

Next stop was at Tuble Marine Sanctuary.

Didn't get to see much fish here compared to Pescador, though there were a looot of corals!

TBH, I wish we had gone to the turtle sanctuary instead.
I didn't know about it that time so I wasn't able to suggest it =/
Oh well, maybe next time ;)

Last stop was at Panagsama beach to see the sardine run!

Most awesome and a bit scary thing (lol) I've ever seen underwater!!!

wow wow wow

Best sight ever!
