Situated in Panay, in the province of Capiz, is the seafood capital of the Philippines, Roxas City!
Roxas city also has some islands/beaches but we weren't able to see that anymore due to time constraints.
Anyway, here's a pic of our hotel, Roxas President's Inn.
I highly recommend this! Very good location; almost everything is 5 minutes away! lol
Plus the interiors are so lovely and not to mention the WiFi is fast too!

One of the famous spots here is the Immaculate Concepcion Metropolitan Cathedral.

This was reconstructed in 1954 but originally built in 1877! WOW.

Beside the church is a street where you could find some souvenir shops.

Next, is the Rizal monument with the city hall and provincial capitol behind it.
Overlooking the Panay river is the Roxas city bridge which was built in 1910!!
Ang Panubli-On or Roxas City Museum is a cute museum which houses some memorabilia and artifacts. This was also originally built in 1910.
and of course, we also checked out the ancestral house of Manuel Roxas (also 5 min away from the hotel!haha)
It's a two-storey hardwood stone house that's now considered a historical shrine.
Doesn't get any antique than this!
Everything is pretty much well preserved and maintained!
The caretaker told us that the house is made of a very strong wood (Narra perhaps?) that even the nails are made of wood.
During the Japanese period, the house was supposedly set on fire but it didn't burn down!
Wow, didn't know such wood existed lol
