When In Davao 2015

photo diary of our *relaxed* iti in the city lol

You definitely need to go to the "durianan" when you're in Davao!

I *used to* not eat Durian actually...but when my friend re-introduced it to me when I visited GenSan last year, I finally got to appreciate and love this fruit!!
If you're like me before, do yourself a favor and give it a try!!! amidst it's awful smell is a very milky, creamy, savory chunk of goodness! i promise! <3

Surprised to know that there are more than a hundred variety of Durians available around Asia O_O
My favorites are the Malaysian type, Hybrid and Senyorita since they don't stink as much as the others. The local variety is also good if you want a hint of bitter taste ;)

Durian ice cream is also available there ~YUM

There are many activities you could do here like ziplining, sky cycling, horse back riding etc!
But this place is really popular for locals and tourists so you should come here early to reserve a slot for the rides and activities.

Fruit hoarding at the market!
Mangosteen for only P35/kilo!!!

People's Park <3

Started the food trip with Azon's Boneless Lechon.
Had their spicy version!

They offer Lechon ice cream too.
Nothing special though, it's just like vanilla with some bits of lechon and a crispy skin on top.

Aside from their very nice selection of gelatos, they also serve hot meals, bread and pastries!

of course, I had to get the Durian gelato <3

Bulcachong
Omg best beef soup ever! It's like bulalo but with a thicker and tastier broth <3

Squid Sisig + Utan Bisaya Soup from Chika-An
So delicious! A-must-visit <3

Milk tea w/ fine salt and cheese from Green Coffee
Very similar with Happy Lemon's version :)
I love their cafe, the ambiance -nature themed is very relaxing and comfy!

Posing at the nice cherry blossom trees around The Peak, Gaisano Mall!
