Dinner Buffet: Marriot Cafe at Marriot Hotel

Last March 12, we decided to celebrate my Mom's birthday dinner at Marriot Cafe
Finally! I think it's been over a year since I last made a buffet post lol
Check out my previous posts here!

As of March 2016, dinner buffet for Friday & Saturday is priced at P2,500 ;)

We went really early as we wanted to avoid getting stuck in traffic =P
Coincidentally, my dad arrived from Vietnam a few hours before!
(ps. it's also a good chance to take photos since there's not so many people yet)

The very first station that will greet you upon entering is the cheese/cold cuts.
They had some cheddar, emmental, salami etc.

The dessert station is also located by the entrance... beginning with this chocolate fountain~

some of the pretty things they offer: carrot cake, sweetened strawberries, almond gateaux

nom nom nom

their cookies look so good too!
i wasn't able to try it though..

glad to see you old friend

Love the hazelnut nutella and coconut the most!

Their bread station is quite hidden so make sure you go at the very far right of the entrance lol

croissant heaven~

Salad station
They have pako, seafood and glass noodle among others

across is the fruit station with my mom at the back hehe

halo-halo station

and the main star ~assorted seafood!
Marriot offers their "Ocean's Harvest" spread every Friday and Saturday night fyi..

Boston Lobsters FTW

Prime Rib goodness

wasn't so impressed with the sushi station..

of course I had to get me some lobsturss
Mom had it grilled while I had it baked with cheese -nom!

steak galore

second serving lol

cheese for dessert haha =P

a scoop of every flavor haha!

YUM

green tea to cap off our lovely meal

Happy Birthday Mom!

Verdict:

FOOD
Their "Ocean's Harvest" spread really lived up to it's name.
Overflowing lobsters, scallops, shrimps, crabs etc!
Though the scallops were so hard and rubbery when we ate it =/
Not sure if it was overcooked or it wasn't really fresh to begin with ~so sad..
Also, I didn't find any pasta station -which I think should always be a staple in every buffet

SERVICE
Hands down, one of the most pleasant service I've had.
The most attentive staff ever! You're just about to request for something but they already know what to give! lol
After eating our crustacean friends, our server immediately brought us some water with lime for us to wash our hands! so sweet lol

THE MAIN QUESTION
Will I go back?
Yes! But I'll probably wait when they offer their sale vouchers again hehe :)

Verdict:

FOOD
Forgettable. Nothing to rave about.
Sushi wasn't fresh and doesn't look appetizing too.
Nice that they have turkey though taste wasn't really mind blowing.
Thumbs up that they offer taho--only in Century Park!

SERVICE
So-so.
Nothing amazing.

THE MAIN QUESTION
Will I go back?
Nope.
Once is enough, I guess :)
