Lunch Buffet: Cafe Jeepney at Intercontinental Manila,Makati

One of my my mom's recent hobby recently is getting these promo lunch/dinner hotel buffet vouchers at deal buying sites.

So yea basically, we've been dining buffet hotel style every week for 3 months now (sosyalan) lol

yes, my diet has died =,(

So for my first hotel buffet entry, I present to y'all..

Cafe Jeepney, at the InterContinental Hotel Manila

Upon entering, this grilling/main dish station will be the first thing to greet you

I don't really get bread when I dine at buffets but maybe I should no?hehe

Salad Station! I got myself some talong and mangga ~yum!

Tried cake pops for the first time, YUMMY!!

I have simple taste when it comes to hotel desserts.

I don't go for the cakes nor the fondue.

I always, ALWAYS go for the Bread Pudding <3

My sad, dry looking steak.

Didn't really enjoy this one. Had to flood it with steak sauce just so I could devour it =/

And yea finished everything with my pudding!! poured some chocolate sauce on it from the fondue lol

Verdict:

FOOD

I'd give it a 5/10. Not so much variety especially with the hot dishes. There was only one pasta (baked macaroni) and most meals were regular Filipino dishes.

Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against local dishes but the thing is, if I'm gonna dine at a hotel, I'd expect international cuisine.

Also, in the voucher they mentioned servings of Seafood Roulade, Lamb Tagine, Mussels etc. but they were no where to be found :(

And did I mention my steak was dry too?

SERVICE

Great service. Staff were efficient especially getting empty plates at the table lol

and one unique thing is that every time you'd get up and leave the table, they would fold your napkins so when you come back, it's neat again. *thumbs up*

THE MAIN QUESTION

Will I go back?

Hmmmm...If someone would treat me, yes. Otherwise, no.

MOA 3 day SALE: Sept 13-15 '13

So last week, Mall of Asia held its annual mid-year sale.

Perfect timing! I need gym clothes! lol

and lucky me scored some cute gym bottoms!

At SM department store, there's a brand called Fit which caters to active wear/gym clothes.

I was looking around when I saw a section with piles of fitness gear priced at 30-50% off!

and of course I dug in to find my size! haha

I was the only customer rummaging happily on the mountains of clothes haha ;)

Voila! Scored these shorts and leggings ;)

Although I had no intentions of buying underwear, I just couldn't pass up these panties.

I've been meaning to buy seamless ones that would go perfect for my gym bottoms

and the lacey white one was just so darn cheap, I just had to get it lol :))

Flashback/Throwback

Posting flashback or throwback photos on IG has been a fad nowadays right? Even though it's a Saturday today, I'd like to dedicate this entry to these two popular hash tags: #throwbackthursday #flashbackfriday :) LOL

Anyway, one of my favorite things to do when I'm at the mall is to window shop and fit clothes. I remember, I always go and check out the clothes in each store and if I like the style/design, I take it with me in the dressing room and try it on--even if I don't have any intentions of buying! 

You see, that's my defense mechanism.. If you can't buy it, just fit and take a picture lol

I don't have unlimited cash so buying whatever I like was never an option *sad truth* lol =/

So yea, through the years, I've collected some pictures I've took inside the..

Family Dinner at Racks

It's been a while since we last dined at Racks. But even if we don't get to eat here often, we always..always have such a great dining experience. Especially, with their juicy and tasty ribs ;)

For starters, we ordered their Onion Brick P195

I love unique presentations like this. Onion Rings stacked like a wall anyone? lol

During that time, Racks had its latest offering which was called Blue Plate Specials.

Basically, all your Racks' favorites put together in one plate.

My mom got the Jamaican Jerk Chicken (P345)

While my dad, brother and I all got the Sweet n Smoky Pork Belly (P395)

As usual, the Pork was so tender and flavorful. The only thing that turned me off was the sauce.

I find it too sweet, overpowering the flavor of the pork. I guess I would have enjoyed this dish more without it lol

For dessert, we all shared this Mississippi Mud Pie (140)

If you're a chocoholic, then you'll certainly love this one. So sinful!

On a different day, My mom and I went to the lingerie section of SM department store and well what do you know? most brands were on its 30-50% off sale. Teehee

We dug up through the bundle of underwear in the Wacoal/Sorci Area and here's what I got.

Black Wireless Seamless Bra (P595)

Original price: P985

This is a great find since I'm always on the look out for the perfect T-shirt bra. I like the fact that it's wireless since I'm not really a big fan of under-wired bras and the padding is just perfect for that extra "boost" that you want for your twins ;)

Blue Plaid Bra and Panty Set

I rarely buy bras with a bold design like this one. I usually just buy plain or those with lace details. But I don't know, I just got totally smitten when I saw this lol
