Japan Illumination 2014

One of the highlights of my December trip to Japan is seeing the Winter Illumination decors lasting usually from December til January!
Here are some that I got to witness!

@ Tokyo Midtown
You cannot imagine how long the line was just to see this!
Some roads/streets were already blocked just so the security could prevent overcrowding the place.

Everyone was amazed with the "Starlight Garden" musical + LED lights display!

not complete without a couple shot lol

@ Roponggi Hills

The theme was "Artelligent Christmas" featuring this 8 meter LED tree which changes its color every few seconds.
Too bad, i missed the "galaxy illumination" they had on the surrounding trees. They already took it out after Christmas day =/

@ Ginza

Christmas trees along Chuo street :)

I remember watching Mel & Joey's episode showing Joey's vacation in Japan.
That was the first time I saw these trees and I swear, it's so fabulous!

A decent shot with the trees after a gazillion attempts bwahaha

super love this shot i wanna cry LOL

@ Yebisu Garden Place

The central square adorned with "chandelier decorated" trees
I love this area! Though the illumination is not too big/long compared with the others, I love that it's close to other popular establishments like the Mitsukoshi dept. store, Westin hotel and the Michelin star, Chateau Restaurant Taillvent-Robuchon!

gigantic Christmas tree at Yebisu <3

One of my fave illuminations is @ Nakameguro

Just imagine over 500 meters of Sakura trees adorned with thousands of LED lights!!!
OMG. It was truly magical!

It's too beautiful that they had to cancel showing it on the weekends for safety reasons since sooo many people would come..

The perfect spot to take a pic!
But ninja moves are required here coz there's a staff scolding people not to stay long LOL
Here's a short vid I took on insta ;)

Lovely stroll for couples!

@ Tama Center

This is far from Tokyo already.
You can see this area when you visit Sanrio Puroland ;)

Love it, no crowd! bwahaha

Lastly, the very beautiful illumination @ Shiodome
This is sooo grand! It also features a 15 min LED musical show!

surrounded by an ocean of lights!

love love love!
