Casual

This should be in the throwback post but I can't wait for Thursday/tomorrow so I'll post this now haha =P
Anyway, took this when I dyed my hair back to black last year ~yea that's how long ago this was lol

On to the outfit, it's just a simple maxi dress I wore for my brother's bday celebration.
Paired it with flats and a studded sling bag for the ultimate comfy look LOL

Magnum Cafe

So Wednesday before Holy Week, the rents and I went to SM Aura from our Batangas day trip.
My dad has never been there so it's good timing as I wanted to check out Magnum Cafe for the "Make your own Magnum" experience too haha

It was so crowded! I think it took us 15-20 minutes in line before we got our turn!
It became more slower since most people would take pictures of the counter haha =P

Before picking out your toppings, the first thing you'd do is Pay! lol
Make your own Magnum is P100, by the way :)

There are 18 toppings available and you get to pick 3 toppings of your choice <3
Some of the choices were pistachios, potato chips, popcorn, gold nuggets, chilli flakes, mallows etc.
It was a lot ~so the next time you'd visit, you could mix and match new flavors to try <3

After picking out the toppings, you get to choose from a Vanilla or Chocolate magnum bar.
Then choose the coating and drizzle. (salted caramel/gold, milk choco or dark chocolate)

*Unsolicited advice: I think it would be better if they'd just put a portion of the sauce into some squeeze bottles so they don't have to put up with the mess of using a long spoon when drizzling the ice cream bar hehe

After coating your Magnum bar, the staff would gently put all the toppings on top and make it pretty with the sauze drizzled ;)

Our Magnums <3
Make your own magnum bar is for take-out only so if you wanna stay inside the cafe, you'd better order their plated bars :)

Death by Chocolate P250
Deep dark chocolate lava cake and chocolate truffle Magnum topped with brownie pieces and chocolate crispearls

The name really suits it..imagine a chocolate bar on top of a perfectly cooked chocolate cake with brownie bits and poured over with milk ~OMG!

I can't get over how moist and creamy the cake was!!!
It was so good together with the ice cream!

Cookie Dough Skillet P250
Warm chocolate chip cookie dough topped with vanilla Magnum bars, dark chocolate and chopped pecans

it had the same consistency with Death by choco but I'm more of a chocolate girl so I'd prefer the former ;)

My dad got the Jardin, it's one of the pre-made flavors from their menu.
It's chocolate ice cream coated with milk chocolate topped with pistachios, dried raspberries and gold nuggets. Drizzled with white chocolate!

If you can't decide what toppings to get, just choose from their signature combinations!

As for me, I got a chocolate bar coated with dark chocolate.
Topped with quezo de bola shavings, pistachios, chilli flakes and gold nuggets drizzled with the gold sauce <3
I asked the staff to put just a bit of chilli flakes that's why I got one more topping (gold nuggets) added yay!

Don't you think so? :)

Cafe Breton

I've always passed by Cafe Breton every time I'm at the mall but never really got the chance to try it out. Until finally, I made sure I'd be able to finally try out their food yay <3

Here's what my mom and I ordered:

The crepe and the salad <3

Chicken, Orange and Almond Salad  P180
For their salads, you can choose from 3 different dressings: Vinaigrette, Honey Mustard and Thousand Island. I chose honey mustard :)

Love the taste of the honey mustard with the salad though I wish they put a lot ~I like my salad drowning in dressing actually lol

Galette Bretone P280
Spinach, shrimps sauteed with crab meat and onions, fresh cream and Gruyere cheese!
doesn't that sound so savoury?!

the fillings when opened ;)
My mom didn't like this as she liked crepes for desserts only but for me, it was really delicious!
The flavors really blended well together that I could imagine making a rice melt version of this haha

Le Magnifique P220
Banana, chocohazelnut spread, whipped cream and almonds drizzled with chocolate syrup
#yuminmytum

Chocolate Milkshake  P125
Sorry, can't help myself but drink instantly once it was served on the table haha

My mom's Chai Latte P95

Verdict:

FOOD
Overall, we enjoyed the dishes we tried on our first visit.
I highly recommend the Galette Bretonne if you want a savoury -unsweet kind of crepe ;)

SERVICE
Service was good.
We went there on an afternoon weekday so there weren't much customers.

THE MAIN QUESTION
Will I go back?
Yes!!
I wanna try the other crepes that they offer ~can't wait!

Korean Food Trip

Here's a food photo diary of all the yummy goodness I saw/ate during my trip! hehe :)

Odeng (Fish cake)
You can see this everywhere in the streets! I'm not sure if it's also popular during summer season, but it's perfect for the cold days specially the broth!
This is one of my fave street food, literally eating it almost everyday lol

Gimbap (rice rolls), Odeng, Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes)
My fave combo meal! Eat the odeng with some sliced gimbap and finish it with spicy tteokbokki!
#yuminmytum

Mandu (steamed dumplings)
Sooo delicious. Im a big fan of dumplings so this is also another favorite of mine <3

Fried Mandu +  Pajeon (green onion pancake)

Now this one is my mom's favorite hehe

It's called Hotteok (crunchy pancakes stuffed w/ sugar, peanuts and sesame seeds)
This is really delicious and a favorite dessert of ours <3

Jjinppang (steamed bun with red bean paste filling)
Really good for winter season!!

Beondegi (boiled silk worm)
Some people would never ever try this, but in my opinion you're missing out a lot!
The taste is just like boiled peanuts, nothing unusual!
I enjoyed eating this actually hehe

I forgot what this is called but it's a spicy burger cut into strips topped with ketchup and mustard

Soondae (pig's intestine stuffed blood, noodles topped with liver and other organs)
This one is a bit spicy and if you're not used to eating animal organs, I guess you won't appreciate this.

original and spicy flavored Kyochon!

Soondooboo Jeomshik (spicy beef version of samgyeopsal)

Samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly eaten with lettuce and served with various side dishes)

fruit popsicles
Saw these at the mall and a lot of customers were lining up for it! ;)

pretty cream cakes

waffles and sweet potato latte

Seafood udon (noodles)

Patbingsoo (shaved ice) served with strawberries and mochi
This one is called snowflake sherbet, basically shaved ice with peanut powder served with milk
I was really amazed on how thin the shaved ice was! And the fact that it doesn't melt quickly! wow, what magical awesomeness did they put in this dish??!!haha

If you ask me, the BEST and SWEETEST strawberries can be found in Korea.
Hands down!
