9-5

My attempt of dressing up nicely instead of wearing my usual denim shorts hihi
Paired this peter pan collared dress with brogues for that preppy look and added
a floppy hat just coz I thought it went well haha and the color's a bit close to the bag ;)

Anyhow, I'm very excited since I'll be leaving for Hong Kong tonight!
Though this will be my 4th time visiting, I'm very thrilled coz I'd be able to eat my beloved roast duck again! nyahahaha

FBF: Dressing Room Series 19

Sweet girly spring look! I wear shorts most of the time and this floral ones are a great addition to anyone's wardrobe. Paired with a knit top and ribbon belt to add more cuteness to the ensemble <3

You know what they say, an LBD is never under dressed nor over dressed.
This one is perfect for a night-out with this sexy red heels.
Wear with nude strappy sandals and you're good for some window shopping at the mall! ;)

Kainan sa Dalampasigan

After our Pico getaway, we decided to drop by Kainan sa Dalampasigan for some
seafood goodness ;)

Though you won't see any view of the seashore or bay, you'd be delighted by all the trees and plants that surrounds this resto <3

Upon entering, pots and vases of different kinds of greenery and flora will greet you.

Great space to take photo-ops too! hihi

Dining hall

Lovin the rustic feels <3

Menu

Their iced tea and sago't gulaman is really refreshing!

Got their famous Bilao and Kare-kare. YUM!

Gigantic rice wrapped in banana leaves

Their bilao consisted of grilled pork, shrimps, baked tahong and this mini kangkong achara on the middle. There's supposed to be daing na bangus but it was out of stock so they just added more baked tahong ;)

What a feast! #nomz

Manam

Manam/Namnam describes itself as a resto that serves comfort Filipino food.
Basically, Filipino food with a twist!
Here's what we got!

but first, the menu~~~

For our drinks we got: Ube Sago, Gabi Black Sago and Mango Pomelo Coco Cream shakes

and had the SET A meal  for dinner ;)
this set includes:
A bowl of rice
Sinigang Beef Short Ribs w/ Watermelon
Crunchy Ubod and Sotanghon lumpia
House Crispy Sisig
and Turon of Mango & Kesong Puti <3
~ good for 3-4 people, P999

Watermelon Sinigang
-you'd think all those red things would be tomatoes but it's actually watermelon!
This was really the highlight of our meal. The sweetness of the watermelon blended well with the sour-y base of the soup. Yum!

Crispy Sisig
-Nothing special. It just tastes the same with all other sisigs I've tried hehe
But they do have the Corned beef sisig which I think is worth a try :)

Ubod and sotanghon lumpia
- this was really filling though a bit oily.
Anyway, I've always preferred fresh lumpia over fried hihi

Mango + Kesong Puti Turon
-aaah this was really yummy! I could've finished all of these if I wasn't so full consuming all the other dishes!
Very nice twist for a turon!!! <3

couple shot haha

***updates

Crunchy Salt & Pepper Squid Rings served w/sweet chilli sauce
-it really is crunchy but too peppery for my taste

Munggo and Chicharon
- super love this! it has loads of tinapa, pork belly and suahe.
Flavor is very rich. One of my fave munggo dishes ever!

Pico de Loro Aug 2014

Had a short stay at Pico last month c/o a deal from Groupon.
If you're not aware yet, Pico de loro is just 90mins away from Manila via Ternate-Nasugbu road ;)

Anyway, here's my photo diary!

very pretty lobby

The deal consisted of a condo room in the Beach homes area with beds good for 6 people (extra mattress not in pic)

They also have the Pico Sands Hotel if you're more comfortable staying in a hotel room :)

It would take about 15-20 minutes by walking to get to the beach from the pool/hotel but fortunately, Pico has a free shuttle that goes around the area every 5-10 minutes. Yay <3

Beach area. nothing special really.
There's even a sign warning people that there are jellyfish yikes!
So we decided to lay down,  have drinks and not swim at all hihi

View from the lobby

After lounging in the beach, we decided to head to the pool to finally swim!
Good thing their pool area is superb or I'd be completely disappointed with pico!

What a beauty <3

pretending to have a pre-nup shoot lolz

This is the kids area where you could find the slide!

the man-made lagoon and condos

they have a mini island on the lagoon which you can access by crossing this bridge ;)
