Ripley's Museum, Jeju March 2015

As I mentioned before, Jeju has a lot of museums scattered all over the island.
Another one which is very near to the Chocolate Land and Teddy Bear Museum is Ripley's Believe It or Not.

It's very easy to spot the building since it's very colorful!

Rates

If you watch the Ripley's program then you'd already have an idea what this museum would be all about.

starting off with Robert Wadlow, the tallest man who ever lived at 8 ft and 11in tall! O_O

Next is Donna Simpson, heaviest mother in the world who weighed at 600 lbs before giving birth to her daughter.

This is Walter Hudson, the 1400 lb man from New York!

Lip Disk
An African custom of piercing one's lips and inserting wooden discs!
This is considered a beautifying body adornment for Surma women. WOW

Then there's a skeleton in a torture chamber....
Each handle represents a torture tool which makes the skeleton scream when pulled

sup? haha

hangin out with my new friend..

Ever seen a fish with fur??!!

Enjoyed this area the most!hehe

8 Cuts Burger Blends

It's been a while since I ate in a burger joint aside from the likes of Mcdonalds/Burger King.
Intrigued by the meat blends that 8 Cuts offer, decided to try it out when we went to Megamall ;)

I wanted to make the most out of my cheat day so got some milkshake!
Nutella for moi and Vanilla for mom
~the Nutella shake looks prettier though haha

Skinny fries with cheese and bacon.
It looks and tastes good but the serving size was a downer =/
Overpriced, if u ask me...

Falafel Burger
The patty actually consists of ground spiced chickpea.
Perfect for those who wants a "healthy" burger.

Slappy J
This on the other hand, consists of the big game blend.
Meaning a mix of  hanger and brisket meat.

I ordered this expecting the same amount of gooeyness a "Sloppy Joe" burger in some American movies had. But unfortunately, the only thing oozing out were the falling nacho chips lol =P
Still enjoyed my burger, regardless.

Wanna go back and try their onion rings -some say it's the best! and also the "Hangover" burger

Pamana, Tagaytay

I'm sure you've already seen Pamana as you drove pass the Tagaytay-Nasugby highway.
I got curious the first time I noticed it, leading me to stalk its menu over the internet lol =P
I wanted to make sure that when I'd get to eat here, I know exactly what to order!
YAS!

One thing I like about the resto is its pretty interiors

Pamana's "wall of fame" lol

Of course, I *had* to get my picture taken hihi ;)

some of the dishes in the menu~

Pandan Luya Iced Tea
-refreshing but the ginger aftertaste stings a bit in the throat hehe

our yummy orders

Chicken Binakol
If you want something similar to tinola but with a twist, then try this!

Tiyan ng Bangus at Tofu Sisig
Love how delicious the tofu was. Unfortunately, it was too spicy.
I like spicy food in general but this was too much for me =/
Nevertheless, it's still an amazing dish!

Pinangat na Laing
mmmm one of my fave Filipino dishes ever, Laing!
Nevermind the chicharon, it was hard and tough to chew haha
I guess it's literally just for presentation purposes =P

Can't wait to go back and try more dishes at Pamana!

Recovery Food, Molito

If you're a big fan of local breakfast food specially the -log combos(tapsilog, porksilog etc),
then I'm sure you will love Recovery Food :)

Their dishes are all affordable and there's a variety of rice bowls to choose from.
Yay!

SST/Sweet Spicy Tuyo
I love tuyo in general, and their sweet spicy version just turns it into a whole other level.
The only thing I don't like is how long the strips of tuyo were LOL #princessproblems.
When I'm devouring something this good, I don't wanna spend time cutting it in pieces.
I just wanna swallow everything in seconds!haha
But anyway, the serving is really generous so I'm sure you'd look past that ;)

Happy Beef Rice
It's like Bistek and Salpicao mixed together!
This was delish too and the beef was really tender. A+

Happy Chicken Arroz Caldo
Now, this has got to be the BEST arroz caldo I've ever tasted! SERIOUSLY.
I'm not exaggerating nor am I lying. This has completely surpassed all the other ac's I've tasted!!!

Not the usual condiments you see in a breakfast joint.
Lovettt~~

Turondots with Dulce Gatas
Ended the meal with some mini turons.
YUMZ

Chocolate Land, Jeju March 2015

Just a few steps away from the Teddy Bear Museum is Chocolate Land.
Jeju has so many museums by the way! I was quite impressed and didn't expect it at all lol

Each person automatically gets a voucher worth 8,000 won after paying admission.
Nice!

You can use the voucher to buy chocolates in this area.
One box is around 10-20,000 won depending on the flavor ;)

Not gonna lie, I ate so much of the samples bwahaha
I really like the white chocolate coated mandarin orange and cactus crunch :)

some artsy fartsy stuff

too bad it's only in Korean boohoo

dun dun dun dun~~~

As I mentioned in my past post, Hallabong is the special orange of Jeju Island.
The sweetest orange I've ever tasted!

chess board made out of chocolate!

how the gallery looks like...

It's not that big actually. I think you could finish wandering around in 10 minutes.
With that being said, I was quite disappointed with Chocolate Land since I was expecting Charlie and the Chocolate Factory kind of levels LOL

Speaking of, there's a Willy Wonka statue outside the gallery haha

There's a chocolate making area too but the instructor only speaks Korean so it's not really recommended for foreigners =/

Awww "the family that makes chocolate together, stays together" haha =P

ending the post with some cute chocolate eggs teehee ;)
