Lunch Buffet: Flavors at Holiday Inn Makati

It's been a while since we had a lunch buffet courtesy of deal sites hehe

So here's a comeback post featuring Flavors Resto, Holiday Inn & Suites Makati

I wasn't really aware that there's Holiday Inn literally beside Glorietta lol

But what a great surprise it is <3

I think we were the 2nd guests to arrive for lunch that day hence the empty seats in the pic haha

Good for me, I could take pictures without people photobombing it ;)

It's not so big compared to the other hotel buffets I've been to but this is worth a try ;)

They have some selection of breads and salads for your appetizer

The turkey was alright. I like combining the cranberry with the gravy sauce for that sweet-salty taste

I enjoyed all the desserts I got!

Highly recco the cheesecake, creme brulee, choco oheyna and eclair #nomz

They had vanilla and ube flavors

Verdict:

FOOD

Main problem: No steak during our visit :(

Other dishes were okay. The only dish that made an impact to me is the Chicken Piccata Milanaisse. No complaints on the dessert--a lot of good selection!

SERVICE

Since we were the 2nd customers to arrive, it was easy for the staff to focus on us lol

I commend their attentiveness once we've finished our plates hehe

Will I go back?

Probably, but not anytime soon :)

New Po Heng Lumpia House + Divi Haul

Been wanting to visit Divisoria for the longest time and when I had the chance to, decided to drop by New Po Heng Lumpia House since I was craving for fresh Lumpia.

Just look at the filling~~it's so full of veggies and what not. YUM!

This was really one of the best and biggest lumpia I've ever had ;)

You can mix the hot sauce with their lumpia sauce to get a bit of a kick ~~perfect!

After eating, decided to go straight 168 :)

Didn't really buy much, I just wanted to see if they were selling monopods hahaha

and my mom wanted to buy some fabric so yea...but here's my loot :)

Aww my camera matches the dress I'm wearing <3 haha

Though, it's too hot to wear this in the streets of Manila, I believe this dress would be perfect in the office or when you're window shopping at the mall.

Plus, don't you just love those pleats? <3

If you wanna hide those thunder thighs, tulip skirts are the answer!

If only I had a flat stomach with prominent abs, I'd definitely wear crop tops with low rise jeans or shorts everyday! haha

Bag of Beans

After our short escapade in Punta Fuego, decided to drop by Bag of Beans for lunch <3

I've never eaten here before. IKR?? Whenever we would pass by, it was always full and there were no parking slots available so haven't had the chance to experience it until now yay!

I was so giddy while walking down the stairs to the main resto.

It was so pretty!! I think this place is prettier at night which would be perfect for couples <3

All of us got their "From the Grill" plates served with steamed veggies and a choice of mashed potatoes, fries, rice or salad.

I think this was a good deal since their serving was huge!

I got the back ribs and it could be shared by 2 people!

For dessert, I got the blueberry cheesecake. #NOM

Overall, we enjoyed our lunch and was satisfied with the dishes.

I wanna go back again and try their sheperd's pie!

Punta Fuego

Went on an overnight stay with my mom and her friends to Punta Fuego last week.

This trip was really heaven sent. It's sooo hot in Manila that using an electric fan is pretty useless. Basically, you need air conditioner or a beach trip like this! -__-

You might be surprised that the toilet/shower is an open area.

There are no curtains but the wall outside serves as the main blockage to make it private.

For dinner, we had soup, pinakbet, tuna belly and chocolate eruption for dessert. Yumz!

Punta Fuego is divided into 2: 

Main Club (Peninsula de Punta Fuego) and Beach Club (Terrazas de Punta Fuego)

You need to ride the shuttle going to Terrazas if you wanna swim at their beach.

It only took around 5 mins so don't worry.

They have several amenities you could try like banana boat, flying fish, jetski etc

They also served hot cocoa!!!

Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I can't wait to go back!
